About the product

The publication provides latest data on geographical distribution of foreign direct investment. It is observed that there is a marked trend toward a decline in the share of developing countries in the global flows. A major factor behind this is their debt problem. The book analyzes the debt problem and suggests some implementable measures for solving it. Within the category of developing countries, least developed countries are most disadvantaged in attracting foreign investment. The book, therefore, examines how home countries can encourage flow of investment to those countries as a complement to actions by host, least developed countries and international organizations.
