About the product
The progressive steps that are being taken at the national, sub-regional and regional levels to fulfill the objectives of the first Asian and Pacific Decade of Disabled Persons are examined in this publication. Special emphasis is placed on the work of development self help organizations created under the Biwako Millennium Framework Plan. Also described are the outstanding achievements of self-advocates working in different countries, highlighting their progress in advancing the rights of disabled peoples.
