About the product
This publication provides a survey of current economic developments in Europe, North America and the Countries In Transition (CIS), with special attention being given to the transition economies of central and eastern Europe and of the former Soviet Union. Along with an overview of the economic situation and selected issues in the European region, discussions surround such topics as: crises in emerging markets; output and demand; costs and prices; labour markets; trade and payments; macroeconomic developments; policy instruments and stabilization; transforming institutions; and resource utilization.
