About the product
The Synthesis Report is based primarily on the contributions of the three Working Groups of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to the Third Assessment Report. However, it also uses information from earlier IPCC assessments, special reports and technical papers. It follows the question and answer format and is in two parts. The first part presents a summary for policy makers, and the second contains responses to policy questions posed by governments. This report is especially useful for policy makers and researchers, as well as for students of environmental studies, meteorlogy, climatology, biology, ecology and atmospheric chemistry
