This handbook refers to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. The purpose of the convention is to regulate the trade in specimens of certain species that are threatened with extinction. The Convention recognizes that wild fauna and flora are an irreplaceable part of the natural systems of the earth that must be protected. The Handbook contains the Convention, Appendices, Standard Permit, Resolutions and Decisions.
