AIDS is threatening children as never before. Millions of them are missing their childhood, medicines, education, information and a host of other essentials due to the disease. Yet they are often overlooked in AIDS programmes, policies and budgets. This publication argues that the world must take urgent account of the specific impact of AIDS on children, or there will be no chance of meeting Millennium Development Goals – to halt and begin to reverse the spread of the disease by 2015.
