Since the Fourth World Conference on Women and the NGO Forum on Women 1995, countries, non-governmental organizations, the private sector and communities around the world have undertaken numerous activities to publicize and implement the recommendations made during the Conference. This publication discusses the experiences of four Asian countries - Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the efforts to promote the Jakarta Declaration and the Beijing Platform for Action.
