About the product

The waters of the Black Sea have supported a rich and diverse marine life. However, in recent decades the Black Sea has come under severe threat due to the combined impacts of eutrophication, anoxia and chemical, biological and bacterial pollution. Focusing on the Ukraine, this publication presents a systematic overview of the biodiversity of the Ukranian waters of the Black and Azov Seas. The information and recommendations presented could serve as a basis for the preparation of national and regional strategies for the conservation and sustainable use of the natural ecosystems of the sea and coastal water bodies.
