This wall chart displays, for the first time, estimates of international migrant stock by age and sex for 196 countries or areas with 100,000 inhabitants or more as of mid-2010. It contains five indicators: (a) international migrant stock by age; (b) female migrants as a percentage of the international migrant stock by age; (c) international migrant stock as percentage of the total population by age; (d) the percentage distribution of international migrants by age; (e) median age of international migrants. Data for countries or areas with fewer than 100,000 inhabitants in 2010 are included in the estimates of migrant stock by age of the major areas and geographical regions but are not shown separately.
