The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is the lead UN agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every child birth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled. UNFPA also helps governments in the world’s poorest countries and countries in need formulate policies and strategies in support of sustainable development. In support of their efforts, this annual series focuses on topics surrounding sexual and reproductive health, human rights and gender equality, and other population matters.
