Criminal Victimization in Countries in Transition

التنسيق *
This publication presents a synthesis of the results of the 1996-97 International Crime Victim Survey (ICVS) carried out in 20 countries in transition. A companion to the International Crime Victim Survey in Countries in Transition: National Reports, it seeks to put in context criminal victimization experience of citizens from these countries within an international comparative perspective. Of the many key findings discussed, two are of particular importance: corruption in public administration and the relationship between citizens and the police.
