This study is aimed to identify the major issues Asian developing countries must address to enhance export competitiveness through trade facilitation. The paper is composed of four parts. Part 1 examines the definition and scope of trade facilitation; part 2 presents the concept of export competitiveness and relevant indices; part 3 discusses the role of trade facilitation in enhancing export competitiveness; and part 4 identifies the major issues that developing countries in Asia should address in terms of trade facilitation to enhance export competitiveness and provides some policy recommendations.
