This is the consideration and adoption of the report of the Committee on Information to the General Asembly at its sixty-sixth session. At its 4th plenary meeting, the Committee proceeded to adopt its draft report, including two draft resolutions and a draft decision, by consensus. A text, submitted by the States Members of the United Nations that are members of the Group of 77 and China, formed the basis of negotiations for a draft resolution, which involved two negotiating groups, the Group of 77 and China and the European Union, as well as other Member States.
