About the product
This handbook contains basic metadata on the agreed list of quantitative indicators for monitoring progress towards the eight goals and 18 targets derived from the United Nations Millennium Declaration. It is designed to provide United Nations country teams and national and international stakeholders with guidance on the definitions, rationale, concepts and sources of the data for the indicators that are being used to monitor the Millennium Development Goals.
