About the product
This document is adopted from a study on the environmental situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories carried out by a team of UNEP experts in October 2002. It includes an assessment of the following: freshwater quality and quantity, wastewater, solid and hazardous waste, and conservation and biodiversity. It also evaluates the capacity of the Palestinian Authority to face environmental challenges and reviews international cooperation in the environmental field. One hundred and thirty six proposals for improving the current situation are included.
