International Organization on Migration (IOM) launched its International Dialogue on Migration at its eighty-second Council session held in November 2001. During the council session, IOM was invited to develop and maintain stronger links with other international and regional organizations active in migration-related fields. As an initial step towards responding to the request of the council, the relevant institutions involved with migration issues were identified. This publication, coordinated by IOM’s Migration Policy and Research Programme, is a compendium of intergovernmental organizations active in the field of migration as of 2002.
