About the product
For more than twenty years, the children of Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States have had a strong ally in the MONEE Project. This unique research programme examines the impact of socio-economic transition on the children of the region – their health, their education, and their family situation. The 2002 report –the first in a new series of annual Social Monitors– provides an analysis of overall trends in the region and includes articles on education and HIV/AIDS. This new series reflects UNICEF’s global commitment to the promotion and monitoring of children’s rights.
