The publication contains a study of population ageing in Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago While the Caribbean is still characterized by a rather young population, a silent revolution has already begun. The study shows the classical symptoms of ageing societies in so far as they have experienced a significant decline in fertility and considerable increase in life-expectancy.
